Education & Outreach
The Robotics project is focused on professional development of middle school mathematics, science and technology teachers throughout Massachusetts. Teachers participate in a twelve day summer program on the campus of Northeastern University.
In the first week teachers are presented the basic educational modules involving the concepts of the engineering design process and what is needed to know about using the robotics kits. During the second week teachers practice these concepts with a small group of students under the watchful eye and direction of University Engineering Faculty. Participating teachers attend an additional 3 Saturday training sessions during the year and operate an after-school program in their community.
Participate in an interesting and fun way to present engineering, science and mathematics using technology your students will readily grasp. Take the opportunity to earn graduate education or professional development credits.
Registration for Teacher training during the Summer 2008 are being accepted now. Complete an online application now.
